Community concern is rising as the search continues for Bryson Higashi, a 44-year-old man from Līhu‘e who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon. In a recent release from the Kaua‘i Police Department, it was reported that Higashi was last seen on September 23, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in Hanalei.
Bryson Higashi described as five feet ten inches tall, around 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. The community is urged to remain vigilant, and anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
The search for Higashi is now a multiagency effort involving the Kaua‘i Police Department, Kaua‘i Fire Department, U.S. Coast Guard, and Kaua‘i Search and Rescue. With several days having passed since he was last seen, concerns are growing, but authorities continue their search.
