Two teenagers became victims of a hit-and-run incident on Friday night in North Bellport, Suffolk County Police are currently investigating the event. According to ABC7NY, the two were crossing Station Road at the intersection of Patchogue Avenue when they were struck by a white SUV at approximately 9:38 p.m. The vehicle responsible for the collision reportedly fled the scene, retreating south toward Montauk Highway.
A crucial detail shared by the Suffolk County Police indicated that, after hitting the teenagers, the white SUV was last observed driving south on Station Road. Minor injuries were sustained by Kevin Reese, 14, who was later transported to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk County, as confirmed by the ABC7NY report.
News 12 Long Island also noted a 15-year-old victim, D'Ajiah Mitchell, who suffered serious injuries and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital.
