Originally pegged as a vehicle-pedestrian accident, the ongoing investigation quickly took on a darker note. "Preliminary reports indicated the incident was a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. However, during the course of the investigation, officers developed information that the victim had been intentionally shoved into the path of the oncoming vehicle," as per the Vallejo Police Department.
The case's transformation from an accident to a deliberate act of violence has prompted the Vallejo Police Department's Detective Division to take over.
