Wake County residents can review and comment on the draft 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) and the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) CAPER. These reports detail the county’s housing and community development activities from the past year. According to the Town of Garner website, public feedback is accepted until September 12.
The draft reports are available online on the County’s Housing Public Notices webpage. Hard copies are also available in the lobby of Garner Town Hall at 900 7th Ave.
The public comment period allows residents to provide input before the reports are submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The HOPWA program focuses on housing support for individuals living with AIDS. Residents can submit feedback through the online portal or by reviewing the hard copies at Garner Town Hall.
