A Waller County man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 3-month-old infant from back in 2023, according to the local sheriff’s office. The Prairie View Police Department initiated an investigation on December 19, 2023, following the infant's death from serious injuries sustained during an incident. Nearly two years later, this has culminated in the arrest of Shawn Washington on charges of murder and injury to a child with serious bodily injury.
In a collaborative effort between the Waller County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety, Washington was taken into custody in Tuesday. The specifics of the incident have not been made public, and currently, Washington's bond status hasn't been disclosed, reported by CW39.
Meanwhile, there has been no update on a possible motive or the relationship between Washington and the infant victim.
