Marin County authorities have apprehended two Walnut Creek residents on suspicion of narcotics sales. According to a social media statement by the Marin County Sheriff's Office, Emily Isabel Ramirez, 20, and Philip Ryan Gardner, 30, were arrested on multiple felony drug charges following a sting operation that saw detectives allegedly purchase cocaine and prescription drugs on three separate occasions.
The investigation by the Marin County Special Investigated Unit (SIU) spanned over July before culminating last Thursday, when detectives executed a search warrant at Ramirez's Walnut Creek home. Seized in the raid were quantities of cocaine, MDMA, LSD – all suspected for sales purposes, a loaded firearm, and approximately $16,000 in cash. As the search was underway, Gardner's arrival at the scene led to the detection of additional amounts of cocaine and MDMA in his vehicle by SIU K9 Kiki, authorities reported.
Ramirez and Gardner were booked into the Marin County Jail, where they made bail and await their court date. The charges levied against them include possession and sale of controlled substances, among other related felonies, reflecting the gravity of the allegations detailed by law enforcement.
