According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4, on August 26, the individual, now identified as Richie Johnson, walked out of the store with a television priced at $298 without paying. The theft has led to a broader investigation into Johnson's activity.
The officers involved in the case have not only tied Johnson to the Walmart theft but also unearthed a history of felony charges against him. An announcement made on a Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Facebook page reveals that Johnson is currently wanted for multiple crimes, including four active felony warrants for Theft. These warrants have been filed by both the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 and Humble Police Department, suggesting a pattern of criminal behavior that spans different jurisdictions.
In addition to the theft warrants, law enforcement has discovered that Johnson also has an active felony warrant for Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. This warrant stems from an incident with the Spring Valley Police Department, as per the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
With these accusations piling up, Johnson's bond has not been set, and he remains on the run. "Richie Johnson is currently wanted by law enforcement for Felony Theft and Evading Arrest," Constable Mark Herman stated.
