A man from the nation's capital is facing charges for his alleged early morning violence last month. Richard Holmes, 35, of Washington, D.C., was arrested for the murder of Franck Foute Mohdjiom, aged 31, according to a press release by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro. The charge against Holmes is grounded in an event alleged to have taken place on August 26; Holmes reportedly shot and killed Mohdjiom during an attempted robbery before making his escape, this crime occurred in Southeast D.C., court documents detail the circumstances surrounding the killing. After finding probable cause, Superior Court Magistrate Judge Heide Herrmann ordered that Holmes be held without bond at a preliminary hearing on September 24, with a detention hearing set for October 8, 2025.
