Investigators are calling on the public for assistance after a fatal hit-and-run incident took place on a Washington State roadway. Last Saturday, around 11:40 pm, Washington State Patrol (WSP) officers were summoned to the scene of a severe collision on SB SR 509 in the vicinity of Meyers Way, where they discovered the wreckage of what was once a multi-vehicle accident involving two cars and a motorcycle.

The aftermath was grim; a motorcycle lay in ruin, its rider having been pronounced dead at the site of the tragedy. According to the WSP’s initial findings, a white passenger car, noted for its erratic behavior, collided with the motorcycle, forcefully ejecting the rider onto the path of a second vehicle, a gray one, which also impacted the motorcycle. The driver of the white car, the primary offender, has yet to be apprehended, having fled the scene with haste and taking the exit to Meyers Way.

At the scene, investigators were able to salvage remnants of the suspect's car, which includes a bumper curiously painted white over its original metallic blue. As per the details gathered, the WSP asserts that the collision-inflicting vehicle is expected to exhibit significant damage to both its front and rear ends, providing a potentially identifying feature for those on the lookout.

Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward, particularly those who may have details about the case or who recognize a damaged white car matching the description. Authorities ask that tips be directed to the Washington State Patrol to assist in the investigation.
