Meanwhile, the Cleveland community of Slavic Village is grappling with two fatal shootings that occurred on the same block, just hours apart. Cleveland Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 2 a.m., finding a 42-year-old man fatally wounded by gunshots. Despite police efforts to provide aid, EMS pronounced the man dead upon their arrival, according to Sergeant Wilfredo Diaz, quoted by News 5 Cleveland.
Later that morning, a second ShotSpotter alert brought authorities back to the same location. Finding a 36-year-old Alissha Brown with a gunshot wound, who was also declared deceased at the scene. Sergeant Diaz indicated that the two incidents are being treated as separate cases. No arrests had been made regarding these incidents as of the latest updates. A local resident, Dana Pitcher, expressed her unease to News 5 Cleveland, stating, "That's pretty brazen. Now I walk with my boyfriend and my pit bull."
