This includes the northbound I-5 to westbound I-80 connector and westbound I-80 on-ramps at El Centro Road and West El Camino Avenue. Caltrans recommends using detours—if you're on westbound I-80, take the ramp to southbound I-5 instead, according to ABC10.
KCRA reminds travelers heading to or from events in Sacramento to plan ahead. The closure affects the westbound I-80 to US 50 connector, as well as the Enterprise Boulevard on- and off-ramps. Drivers should use alternate routes, like the Harbor Boulevard off-ramp to Northbound West Capitol Avenue or Southbound to Industrial Boulevard.
This closure is part of a larger $280 million project to improve I-80 and Highway 50. Caltrans advises drivers to leave early and expect delays. A suggested detour: from southbound I-5, take the ramp to westbound US 50 and continue on US 50 to get around the closure, as per KCRA.
