Heads up to all you road warriors out there, West Mukilteo Boulevard is getting a facelift, and it's going to impact your drive. Starting as early as tomorrow, there will be some shoulder work that'll cramp your style if you're cruising between Elm Street and Ridgemont Drive. Expect alternating one-way traffic during this necessary but pesky construction period.
The City of Everett got Granite Construction on the job, and they're planning to work from dawn till dusk — 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., to be exact. Although they're aiming to wrap this up in about two workdays, Mother Nature might have other plans since the work is as weather-dependent as a picnic in the park. The city's given a heads up that dates might slide if the skies decide to throw a fit.
The city has announced that flaggers will be present to help manage traffic during ongoing roadwork. Officials stated that access to driveways and emergency vehicles will be maintained with minimal disruptions. The effort is part of a broader plan to improve and maintain smoother traffic flow on city boulevards.
The city has issued a construction alert and noted that some disruptions may occur. Officials apologized for any inconvenience and encouraged residents to plan ahead for possible delays. Updates on the project will be provided through the city’s project page.
