A man is now under police custody after a series of alarming events unfolded in the quiet Hyland Greens neighborhood. Westminster Police took to social media, releasing a statement regarding the domestic disturbance that occurred late Sunday morning. The chaos began just before 10:45 a.m. when the man, whose name hasn't been disclosed, allegedly used his vehicle to ram into a house belonging to the mother of his ex-girlfriend. He reportedly fled the scene only to collide with another unrelated resident soon after.
According to the Westminster Police, the suspect made his return, attempting to run over his ex-girlfriend’s mother multiple times before once again ramming his vehicle into her home. In a remarkable act of community intervention, neighbors stepped in and detained the man until law enforcement arrived at the scene. Their swift action likely prevented further escalations of the violence. The suspect was subsequently arrested and taken to a hospital for medical evaluation, although no information about his condition has been provided.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the wake of this disturbing incident. However, the affected homes suffered damage and are currently being evaluated for their structural integrity. The neighborhood, typically a bastion of peace and suburban tranquility, was left reeling from the abrupt, violent disturbances that shattered the calm of their Sunday morning.
