In a significant effort to combat drug-related crimes within the community, the Weymouth Police Narcotics Unit, backed by multiple agencies, raided two apartments on Washington Street, resulting in the confiscation of firearms, drugs, and cash. The official Facebook post of the Weymouth Police Department reported the bust at apartments 2204, and 2219 of 1335 Washington Street, which took place early Monday morning.

The coordinated action was a culmination of a detailed investigation into a drug trafficking organization. Weymouth Police joined forces with the DEA SRT, the DEA Task Force 2, ATF, MSP CINRET South, MSP Norfolk Detectives, Canton Police, Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Hingham Police K-9 Unit, and Quincy Police K-9 Unit to carry out the warrants. The seizure included seven firearms, various drugs including fentanyl and crack cocaine, and $3,876.00 in cash.

Three individuals were apprehended during the operation: Dominik Manigo, Juan Montalvo, and Christian Santos, each facing charges ranging from conspiracy to violations of firearm possession. Manigo, residing at one of the raided apartments, faces the most extensive list of charges, including multiple counts related to the distribution of fentanyl and crack cocaine, possession of firearms and ammunition without permits, and trafficking of controlled substances. His charges, as described in the police statement, highlight the scope of the alleged criminal activity.

Montalvo and Santos, from Dorchester and Randolph respectively, face similar charges. Each was allegedly part of the conspiracy to violate drug laws, and also charged with possession of firearms without an FID card. Montalvo, age 18 at the time of the arrest, is the youngest of the trio. All are scheduled for arraignment at Quincy District Court following the bust.

The successful seizure not only uncovers the extent of drug activity in the area but also underscores the importance of collaborative law enforcement efforts. The police department acknowledges the contribution of each agency involved in the operation. The Weymouth Police encourages the community to keep the communication lines open and report any drug-related activities through their drug tip line. Though charges have been made, it is important to remember that under the law, all individuals are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
