Over the weekend, the White Settlement community celebrated the courage and devotion of its fire department members. In a social media post by the White Settlement Fire Department, details of the recent ceremony honoring these local heroes were shared. The department and residents came together to acknowledge the tireless work performed throughout the year 2024.
The ceremony, which was supported by the city's leadership and the White Settlement Area Chamber of Commerce, also had a touch of local business, with Longhorn Lazer providing the awards. "We are deeply grateful to the families of our personnel for their continued support," the White Settlement Fire Department stated, acknowledging not only the firefighters but also their loved ones.
Among those recognized, Trevor Ahrens received the illustrious Firefighter of the Year accolade. William Sclafani, who was present, was honored as EMS Provider of the Year. The department named Randy Rogers as Officer of the Year, commending his leadership. The C-Shift was awarded the Busiest Shift Award, having responded to a remarkable 1,188 calls for service in the past year, a testament to their unyielding commitment.
