In a recent operation by Worcester authorities, two men were apprehended on charges involving illegal firearms and drugs. The Worcester Police Department posted on their official social media page detailing an elaborate surveillance and arrest sequence that led to the capture of Jeremiah Horne, 25, and Isaiah Horne, 27, yesterday. According to the Worcester Police Department, detectives from the Crime Gun Unit and Gang Unit were actively seeking Jeremiah on an active arrest warrant.
During this investigation, detectives observed a male, later identified as Isaiah Horne, leaving a residence on Hitchcock Road. Upon following the black BMW SUV driven by Isaiah and witnessing multiple traffic violations, a stop was made on Woodland Street. When asked to exit the vehicle, Isaiah refused and subsequently fled the scene, striking a detective with his vehicle in the process. The detective involved in the incident escaped unharmed. The chase continued throughout the city, expanding to include uniformed patrol officers, and troopers from the Massachusetts State Police. Eventually, Isaiah returned to the initial Hitchcock Road residence, where he surrendered to the police after a perimeter had been established.
The subsequent police action involved a search warrant for the residence, where Jeremiah Horne was found inside. Worcester Police SWAT Team members executed the warrant, uncovering a cache of dangerous items including various ammunition, firearm magazines, polymer firearm frames sans serial numbers, and a kit capable of altering a semi-automatic handgun into an automatic weapon. Drugs found on the premises included 42 grams of cocaine and an undisclosed number of pills.
Jeremiah Horne is now facing multiple charges, notably including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, 2nd or Subsequent Offense, and Trafficking in Class B Drugs. Isaiah Horne has been charged with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon to wit Motor Vehicle, and a slew of traffic-related violations in addition to firearm and drug charges. Both men's charges encompass Possession of Ammunition without a FID, and Possession of an Untraceable Firearm, among others.
