Quincy Jones, a 43-year-old from Toccoa identified as a significant figure within the Manathan Colbert Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO), has been apprehended following a sizable manhunt stretching across northeast Georgia and into the metro Atlanta area, as Fox 5 Atlanta reported. Jones's arrest is the culmination of an intensive search initiated last Wednesday when Stephens County officials attempted to serve a warrant. The chase involved multiple agencies, including the Georgia State Patrol, which eventually halted Jones on Interstate 985 South and took him into custody, with the subsequent booking occurring at the Hall County Jail.

The pursuit of Jones after he fled from authorities in Stephens County last Wednesday included contributions from various branches of law enforcement, including the FBI North Georgia Major Offenders Task Force and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office the investigative efforts leading to the discovery of his vehicle in DeKalb County and later pinpointing his whereabouts in Hall County. Now Habersham has detailed Jones's capture without incident, which happened on last Friday.

Currently facing a multitude of charges ranging from the violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act to possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Jones is accused of trafficking in marijuana and involvement in gang activity. Stephens County officials, in a statement obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta, have suggested that this arrest is part of a broader sweep and more arrests are expected as the investigation into the Colbert DTO persists. Given the collaborative nature of this operation, at least 19 federal agencies played a part in the apprehension of wanted individuals connected to the DTO.

The multi-agency effort, characterized by its scale and coordination, has so far netted 20 arrests across Atlanta, Stephens, Habersham, and Banks counties with numerous law enforcement entities including the Atlanta Police Department, Banks County Sheriff’s Office, and the GBI Metro Gang Task Force were involved in the sweep, which Stephens County investigators told Now Habersham, is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the Colbert DTO. The public has been asked to contribute any pertinent information about drug or gang activity to the GBI Tip Line or through the See Something, Send Something mobile app, as well as directly to their local law enforcement agencies.
