A Travis County jury has handed down a severe sentence to Jenner Ramirez, a 28-year-old man convicted of multiple child sex crimes. As reported by CBS Austin, Ramirez faced allegations of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact, under which he was judged on Oct. 9.
Both counts of aggravated sexual assault brought Ramirez a sentence of 99 years each, while the indecency count contributed an additional 15 years, set to run concurrently. A staggering total of 99 years in prison is now the reality for Ramirez, who was acquitted of another separate count of indecency with a child. This verdict was decided by the same jury. Details from KVUE indicate that Travis County prosecutors are satisfied with the outcome, expressing gratitude for the efforts taken to reach this point of accountability.
"Our office is grateful to our dedicated staff and law enforcement partners who worked tirelessly to hold the defendant accountable and seek justice for the victim," Travis County District Attorney José Garza said in a statement to KVUE. "We hope this verdict continues to help the victim with their healing journey."
Ramirez's initial arrest took place on July 11, 2024, in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. It was not long after that he was transferred to Travis County, Texas, where the charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child were to be brought against him. Further complicating his legal troubles, he was reindicted on September 22, 2025, effectively setting the stage for the subsequent trial process and the harsh sentencing that was to follow.
