A grim scene unfolded early yesterday morning in Dundalk as Baltimore County Police arrived at the 3000 block of Liberty Parkway to discover a 12-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds. As reported by Fox Baltimore, the call, which came in around 4:45 a.m., led to the finding of the young victim with injuries to his upper body, a situation the authorities are currently regarding as a domestic matter.
Officials have since issued an arrest warrant related to the incident, although the suspect's name has not been released, drawing attention to the nature of the events that led up to the stabbing which occurred in a residential area known more for its quiet streets than scenes of violence, according to a WMAR-2 News coverage of the event, the boy is currently listed in critical but stable condition.
Police have released a few details as charges remain pending, but believe the stabbing was a domestic incident. Authorities confirmed they are not seeking additional suspects. As the community grapples with the shock, local law enforcement emphasized there is “no ongoing threat to the community,” a point highlighted by WMAR-2 News.
