Barclays Center is preparing for the Brooklyn Nets' 2025-26 NBA season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow. According to an announcement reported by Brooklyn Paper, the arena has added two new fan spaces as part of a major renovation. The first is the Gallagher Terrace, a members-only area with in-seat dining. The second is the Modelo Bridge, a fan zone located on the upper concourse.

The Gallagher Terrace, formerly the 40/40 Club, has been redesigned as a Gilded-Age-inspired space for around 110 guests, Time Out New York reported. The area features banquette seating, LED lighting, and sommeliers, with in-seat dining and waiter service available.

The Modelo Bridge spans two levels and takes inspiration from Brooklyn’s iconic bridges, featuring panoramic views, a 67-foot bar, and murals by local artists. DJ sets provide music throughout the area. Shannon Ferguson, BSE's Chief Hospitality Officer, told Brooklyn Paper, "Our success depends on delivering an experience that truly reflects and celebrates our community."

The arena has introduced upgrades including enhanced lighting, upgraded sound systems, and facial recognition entry. To improve accessibility, BSE partnered with OneCourt to provide real-time touch feedback technology for fans who are blind or visually impaired. Backstage areas have also been renovated, with The Brooklyn Home Company redesigning the dressing rooms, as Brooklyn Paper reports. BSE says these improvements are intended to maintain its role as a cultural hub for basketball, performers, and the community.
