Students at Bensalem High School had a break from their typical school day, immersed instead in a spectacle of military might and history. Marking the 250th anniversary of the Navy and Marine Corps, the school served as the stage for an impressive military show, complete with the dramatic landing of four helicopters on its grounds.
According to a social media post by the Bensalem Police Department, the event not only featured these whirring birds of war, but also gave students, staff, and visitors a chance to meet with the aviators. They received firsthand knowledge about the roles and capabilities of the different types of helicopters present. The day was punctuated by talks from Navy and Marine Corps leadership and a performance by the Marine Corps band.
