Three men from Boston found their schemes unravel after a series of unlawful acts led Dartmouth Police Department straight to them. According to a social media post by the Dartmouth Police Department, a vehicle break-in at the Walgreens on State Road was reported on the morning of October 12, where the victim's vehicle was burglarized overnight, and several items including a wallet and credit cards were stolen. The plot thickened when the victim noted unauthorized transactions on his credit cards.

Relentless in their approach, the suspects utilized one of the stolen credit cards to buy around $1800 in Visa gift cards from the very same Walgreens where the vehicle was compromised. Officer Nicholas Barnes, on reviewing the security footage, spotted three male suspects committing the credit card fraud. Mere hours later, as a disconnect to the earlier crime, Barnes and fellow officers responded to a trespassing incident at UMass Dartmouth and recognized the same individuals from the Walgreens security footage.

The quick linkage of these separate events led to the arrest of the three suspects at the UMass Dartmouth campus. They were apprehended without a struggle and an investigation recovered property belonging to the victim. The Dartmouth Police Department identified the men and laid a slew of charges ranging from receiving stolen property and credit card fraud to trespassing and underage possession of liquor.

The trio, now facing a reckoning in court, were named by the authorities. Raudy Ramirez-Valdez, just 18, was hit with the more serious charges, including receiving stolen property over $1200 and credit card fraud over the same amount, along with conspiracy to commit credit card fraud and underage liquor possession. Emmanuel Joseph and Musa Fofana, both 19, were slapped with trespassing and conspiracy to commit credit card fraud, with Fofana also dinged for credit card fraud under $1200. After being booked at the Dartmouth Police Department, all three gentlemen were transported for arraignment at New Bedford District Court.
