
An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after a hit-and-run incident shook the streets of Brooklyn. The accident occurred around 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue V and Ocean Parkway, as reported by FOX 5 New York. The boy was riding a scooter at the time of the collision, which is now under active police investigation
According to the ABC7NY report, the vehicle involved, a 2026 Acura Integra sedan, was traveling northbound on Ocean Parkway when it made contact with the child's scooter. Following the incident, the driver left the scene, and the black sedan was later found abandoned at 1801 Ocean Parkway, approximately one block away.
A 25-year-old man was also injured after being inadvertently struck by debris from the collision. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he is in stable condition. The child, who was transported to the same hospital, remains in critical condition.
No arrests have been made as law enforcement continues to search for the driver who fled the scene. Investigators are examining available evidence in an effort to identify the individual.
