The Burleson Police Department in Texas has announced that the gas leak reported in the 900 block of Monticello Drive has been successfully contained. Residents who were previously evacuated can now safely return to their homes. While the immediate threat has been addressed, the Burleson PD noted that it would take an additional "hour or two" for repairs to the gas line to be completed. This repair timeframe could extend, indicating that residents might experience a temporary disruption in their gas service. The initial advisory, signaling the leak and subsequent evacuations, highlighted that the existing winds were not posing a threat to nearby Kerr Middle School, which meant that school activities remained unaffected.
