In an effort to educate the community on fire safety, Cabarrus County Fire Services has launched a series of events aimed at the younger residents and their families. The initiative, dubbed "Fire Safety Story Time at the Library", combines the power of storytelling with essential safety education, promising a fun and informative experience for children.

The series, which comprises events across several towns within the county, was detailed in a recent social media post from Cabarrus County Fire Services. Concord residents had their chance on October 1, and on October 2, it was Kannapolis's turn. The initiative rolls on to Mt. Pleasant, with events on October 6 and 9, Harrisburg on October 16, Afton on October 28, and finally Midland on October 30.

The sessions are designed not only to entertain but to also instill vital knowledge in children — preparing them with the steps they should take in the event of a fire. “They’ll enjoy stories, learn important safety tips, and have the chance to talk about how to stay safe in case of a fire,” the Cabarrus County Fire Services announcement highlighted. This move serves as a proactive measure to safeguard the community's future and current well-being, ensuring that fire safety becomes common knowledge from early on.
