The Casa Grande Public Library is beckoning community members of all ages to dive into the pages of new worlds and skills with a bevy of weekly events and challenges. Youngsters have a chance to join the Fall Reading Challenge by completing tasks presented on an activity sheet to win a prize, while reading graduates, teens, and adults can earn a "reading-themed pin" after logging five books on the Beanstack App, an app that tracks reading habits.

As technology continues to weave into the fabric of everyday life, the library is offering an Android Basics Workshop on October 16th at the Main Library where members can learn to navigate their Android devices without the need for any prior registration, the library also hosts a Teen Board Game Club, gathering every Thursday for strategy and social interaction, and for those with a penchant for yarn and conversation the Crochet & Knitting Club meets Fridays at the Vista Grande Library. Residents looking to combine nutrition with fiscal wisdom can join the Cook, Save, Enjoy series, which kicks off on October 17th.

Among the visual treats is a Cars movie marathon scheduled on October 18th; however, it's noted that "kids under 12 must be with an adult." While the motion picture is projected, linguistic arts flourish as the library encourages language learning through the Spanish Conversation Gathering every Thursday and the opportunity for individuals to enhance their English proficiency at the English as a Second Language classes held twice weekly.

Cultural enrichment doesn't end with languages; the Main Library is preparing to host a Día de los Muertos Celebration on October 24th, an event featuring Folklorico dancers, Mariachi performances, crafts, stories, and the traditional pan dulce. The library also teases the mind of the green-thumbed with their Garden Series and stretches the digital acumen of patrons through Tech Help & Learning opportunities, including Tutor Tech Time and access to free online courses with a library card, not forgetting the free GED Program offering classes for adults working towards their diploma.

For those invested in community and literacy, the Mayor’s Reading Club presents an opportunity to read to K–3 students monthly. The library is also calling for volunteers through the ACE Team to tutor adult learners, embodying the spirit of communal uplift. The Casa Grande Public Library says those interested in supporting their local hub for knowledge can donate books or check out a Culture Pass for free visits to select cultural institutions. The Main Library at 449 N. Drylake St. and the Vista Grande Library at 1556 N. Arizola Rd. welcome patrons Monday through Saturday with varied operating hours.
