As evening approaches, clouds will remain in place with a 40% chance of additional rain. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 46 degrees. Winds from the north-northeast will ease to 9–14 mph, though gusts could still reach 25 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of new rainfall is expected. On Wednesday, cloudy conditions will continue, with the NWS forecasting a 60% chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m., and gusts possibly reaching 21 mph.
Showers are likely Wednesday night before 3 a.m., with temperatures dipping to around 48 degrees. Winds will shift from the east-northeast at 8–10 mph to the south-southeast after midnight. As per the NWS, rainfall amounts could range from half an inch to three-quarters of an inch. By Thursday, skies will begin to clear with a 30% chance of morning showers. The afternoon will be partly sunny with a high near 60 degrees and a drier west wind at 10–13 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph.
By the end of the week, temperatures will drop to around 42 degrees Thursday night, followed by clear and sunny conditions on Friday with a high near 62. This weather pattern is expected to continue through the weekend and into Monday, with daytime highs in the low 60s and mostly clear nights, as temperatures fall into the low 40s across the Charlotte area.
