Residents in Charlotte County have a full slate of government meetings to attend or watch in the upcoming week. A variety of topics from transportation to street drainage and sales tax are on the agenda for different boards and committees, as indicated in a recently published calendar by Charlotte County.
First and foremost, the County Commission Monthly Workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, at 9 a.m., to be held in the Charlotte County Administration Center. Later that day, the Board of County Commissioners will focus on transportation during their Quarterly Local Transportation Meeting at 2 p.m. in the same location, Room 119.
Wednesday offers a trio of advisory board meetings, kicking off with the South Burnt Store Street and Drainage MSBU Advisory Board gathering at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library at 10:30 a.m. This is closely followed by the Gulf Cove Street & Drainage MSBU Advisory Board, which will convene at the Mac V. Horton West County Annex at 1:30 p.m., with the Pirate Harbor Waterway MSBU Advisory Board slated for 2 p.m. back at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library.
On Thursday, Oct. 23, a double-header at the Charlotte County Administration Center starts with the Community Action Agency Advisory Board at 1 p.m. in the Family Services Center, while county officials will prepare for the upcoming week's agenda at the County Commission Pre-Agenda at 1:30 p.m., and the 2026 Sales Tax Focus Group will hold discussions at 3 p.m., both in Room B106. Finally, concluding the week, the Barrier Island Fire Service MSBU Advisory Board is set to meet Friday morning, at 9:30 a.m. in the Mac V. Horton West County Annex.
