Heads up, drivers! If you're planning to cruise down Marathon Boulevard anytime between October 14 and 16, you're going to need to reroute. According to Charlotte County's latest traffic advisory, a stretch of the road from Treadway Road to Pinedale Drive is shutting down for some major pipe replacement action.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Tuesday through Thursday, Public Works crews will be swarming the scene to swap out a critical road crossing pipe. While they're battling the underground, travelers will have to tackle a detour signed and set, even though you might want to pack some patience and give yourself a little extra time for the journey.
