Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Tuesday at around 6:24 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Tryon Street. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, 23-year-old Darian Ivan Gueta-Macias was struck by a Lexus RX350 while crossing the road and later died at the hospital from his injuries.

Police said Gueta-Macias was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
