Earlier this month, North Tryon Division officers conducted a series of traffic stops across Charlotte, resulting in the seizure of guns and drugs. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) reported on a social media post that the stops led to multiple arrests and the confiscation of narcotics and firearms.
On October 12, officers stopped a vehicle for reckless driving on the 6700 block of N. Tryon Street. During the search, they found approximately 1.1 pounds of suspected marijuana, about 18 grams of suspected MDMA, and related paraphernalia, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Anthony Sanchez Carter, 36, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver MDMA, felony possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer.
On October 13, a traffic stop near the 1300 block of W. Sugar Creek Road resulted in the arrest of Hailey Jade Woelk-Snyder, 23, who was found with approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine. She faces charges including trafficking a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On October 16, Jamerson Lamont Bobo, 45, was stopped in the 6500 block of N. Tryon Street for an expired and fictitious paper registration plate. A search of his vehicle led to the seizure of about 21 grams of suspected cocaine and a stolen firearm. Bobo faces multiple charges, including possession of a stolen firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
