This tool also reminds users whether they fall under an orange or green recycling week. According to the city's announcement, being informed on these details is pivotal to ensuring waste is taken care of without delays.
In addition, Charlotte Solid Waste Services is introducing a new text alert initiative designed to not only update residents on collection developments but also to offer quick surveys and essential city service information. To stay ahead of any service disruptions or to receive recycling and waste preparation tips, residents are encouraged to text their day of service to 73224. "For example, if their collection day is Thursday, they would text 'Thursday' to 73224," states the official City of Charlotte's announcement.
