The Chicago Police Department has issued a community alert for the Rogers Park neighborhood following a series of disturbing home invasions and attempted assaults. According to NBC Chicago, at least three incidents occurred between 2 and 3 a.m. last Friday on the 2000 block of West Lunt Avenue. One woman reported a nearly naked man forcibly entering her home and attempting to assault her in the bathroom before she managed to fight him off.

Only one hour prior, a similar attack was reported in Evanston, involving a person who matched the suspect's description from the Rogers Park incidents. A 27-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and choked as the assailant tried to remove her clothing, but she was able to successfully fight back. Police are currently seeking to find and apprehend the suspect, who is described as a male aged between 19 to 25, with medium-length curly hair and a thin build. The suspect was noted to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with "USMC" in gold lettering on the back during the attacks, stated officials.

Surveillance images have since been released by the Chicago police, featuring the suspect wearing a black hoodie and a light-colored hoodie wrapped around his waist, in addition to light-colored pants.
