
An early morning crash in Stockton left a young child in critical condition, while two adults sustained minor injuries, authorities said. ABC10 reports that the incident, involving a two-vehicle T-bone collision, occurred around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Northbank Court, according to the Stockton Police Department.
The police found a 25-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman at the crash site, who were the drivers of the respective vehicles involved. "The woman's vehicle also had a passenger, approximately a 5-year-old child," as per the report obtained by ABC10. The child was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and is currently in a critical state. Meanwhile, the adult drivers were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the accident. The crash's cause is still under investigation.
Following the incident, KCRA additionally notes that the two drivers received on-scene treatment, while details about whether DUI or speeding contributed to the crash have not been revealed by authorities. The Stockton Police Department is actively looking into the collision's cause.
