CHP Solano Area officers arrested a driver on DUI charges and seized multiple firearms and narcotics from a speeding vehicle. The incident occurred last Saturday, when officers pulled over a car clocked at a high rate of speed, traveling 94 mph.
According to a social media post from CHP Solano, the vehicle was carrying four occupants, all young individuals at or under 20 years of age. The driver's routine traffic stop escalated, with the discovery of a loaded and unserialized short-barreled rifle and pistol, alongside three bottles of promethazine without a prescription.
Further investigation by the officers on scene led to the uncovering of an additional pistol with an extended magazine on one of the passengers. The officers' actions resulted in removing these dangerous items from potential circulation. The driver and two passengers faced the consequences of their actions. They were booked into the county jail, facing charges related to the possession of drugs and unauthorized firearms.
