
A Cincinnati man has died after suffering a head injury during a physical altercation last week. Local police were called to the scene on the 3900 block of West Eighth Street at approximately 11 p.m., Thursday, where they discovered 54-year-old Spencer Morris with a severe head wound, as confirmed by a LOCAL12 News release from the Cincinnati Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers found Morris in critical condition, with no suspect present at the scene. The victim was promptly taken to UC Medical Center by the Cincinnati Fire Department, a detail noted by all three local news outlets covering the incident. According to WLWT, Morris died on Friday as a result of his injuries, a day after the incident occurred. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the head injury proved to be fatal.
The case has since escalated to a homicide investigation, spearheaded by CPD's Homicide Unit. They are currently examining the circumstances that led to the altercation and subsequent death of Morris.
