The Clarksville Police Department has issued a Silver Alert and is urgently calling on the public to assist in locating 65-year-old Ricky Baker, a Black male last seen this past Monday. In a recent social media post, the department highlighted that Mr. Baker, who suffers from cognitive decline, may have left his residence on Winding Bluff Way the morning of Tuesday, before 8:00 am. A photo provided by the family shows him wearing green shorts and a distinctive red shirt emblazoned with "Proud Dad."
Described as being 5’8" tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds, Baker has black hair and brown eyes. With the knowledge that he might struggle to answer questions beyond simple affirmatives or negatives, authorities are emphasizing the necessity of community vigilance. Authorities are urging anyone who sights Ricky or knows of his whereabouts to contact emergency services immediately to ensure his safety, by calling 911.
The Clarksville Police Department's call for assistance, amplified by a post on their Facebook page, includes an appeal for any video footage that may assist in the search. Detective Hensley, tasked with the investigation, can be contacted by the public at (931) 648-0656, ext. 5356, for those who might have relevant information but wish to not call 911.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has bolstered local efforts by issuing a Silver Alert, a critical step in rallying community support to aid those with cognitive impairments who go missing. When the time is of the essence, such alerts play a key role in ensuring a swift response. The Clarksville Police Department and the TBI are pooling their resources, hoping that someone, somewhere, sees Ricky and can offer information leading to his safe return to his family and loved ones.
