According to a social media post by the Ohio Department of Transportation District 12 Cleveland, starting Friday, October 17 at 7 p.m., emergency repairs on the W. 117th bridge over I-90 are scheduled to commence. Consequently, I-90 eastbound at W. 117th St. will be cut down to two lanes, and the southbound entrance ramp on W. 117th St. itself will be closed off, with work expected to last around 30 days.
These aren't your typical repair shifts. Crews are preparing to embark on an intensive schedule, operating 7 days a week, clocking 14-hour shifts in an to finish as expeditiously as possible. This emergency repair work is a direct response to damage inflicted on the bridge earlier this past spring.
