
Tragedy struck Cleveland's Slavic Village neighborhood yesterday morning when a shooting left two men dead and two critically injured near a local Sunoco Gas Station. As WKYC reported, the shooting, which occurred around 1:15 a.m., led to multiple ShotSpotter alerts and a swift response from Cleveland Police officers—when officers arrived, they discovered four individuals wounded by gunfire, resulting in community shock and an immediate police investigation into the violence.
The deceased were identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner as Deon Stallings, 37, and Bruce Charles Singleton, 46, while two other men, aged 31 and 34, were rushed to Metro Hospital in critical condition, as per a statement obtained by Cleveland 19. Investigators, who have pieced together evidence of an earlier altercation, found two firearms at the scene, and they are continuing to review evidence, interviews, and seeking public assistance to uncover what led to this grave event.
With the investigation remaining active and ongoing, the Cleveland Division of Police urges anyone with information to come forward.
