A Columbus man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 5-month-old girl after she died of injuries inconsistent with initial reports, police said. Glenn McIntosh, 32, is accused of causing severe blunt force trauma to the head of the infant, Ameira Reynolds, leading to her death.
Medics from the Madison Township Fire Department responded to a distress call at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Monday, October 13, from a residence on the 4000 block of Willard Brook Road. They transported the critically ill infant to Nationwide Children's Hospital, as per reports by WBNS. Ameira was pronounced dead later in the evening at 6:32 p.m. Court documents indicate the child suffered severe head trauma.
McIntosh, who was reportedly responsible for Ameira's care at the time of her injuries, resides at the location where emergency services were originally called. The nature of his relationship with the child has not been disclosed by authorities. Following the incident, detectives interviewed McIntosh and charged him with murder.
