Concord residents, brace yourselves for a temporary shake-up in your utility bill payment routine. The City of Concord has announced a scheduled system outage that will impact the utility bill payment process starting Friday, October 24, at 6 p.m., stretching through the weekend until Sunday, October 26, at 5 p.m. This downtime will facilitate system upgrades.
Concord residents are advised that the Utility Customer Portal, the bill pay kiosk outside City Hall, and one-time online bill pay options will be temporarily unavailable this weekend. During the outage, payments can be made by mailing checks, using the drive-up dropbox on Market Street, or through a bank’s online bill pay service. Autopay users will not be affected by the downtime.
Concord residents can still make online payments for other city services despite the temporary outage affecting utility bill payments. Transactions for Fire Marshal payments, parking tickets, taxi permits, and other non-utility-related fees will continue to be available online. Only the electricity and water bill payment systems will be temporarily offline.
