Timothy H. Lewis, convicted in 2022 on four counts of possession of child pornography, is slated for release from prison next Tuesday, the Washington County Sheriff's Office announced in a social media post earlier this week. The post, which comes in accordance to WI Statute 301.46(2m), is part of an effort by law enforcement to keep the public informed of sex offenders' whereabouts to enhance safety and awareness. "Timothy H. Lewis has served the prison sentence imposed on him by the courts. He is NOT wanted by law enforcement," the Wisconsin Sheriff's Office's post specifies.
Following his release, Lewis will take up residence at 9369 Bolton Dr. in the Town of Farmington. As part of his reintegration into society, he will remain on probation until October 11, 2030, and he's subject to stringent monitoring by the WI-DOC Division of Community Corrections. The Wisconsin Sheriff's Office emphasizes that this notification is not meant to stir up fear but believes that "an informed public is a safer public."
During his probation period, Lewis will be under tight scrutiny, subject to "numerous rules and restrictions," according to the Wisconsin Sheriff's Office.
