The Delta Center is set for an exciting season ahead, as Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) unveils its first phase of arena renovations aimed at delivering a premium experience for both Utah Mammoth and Jazz fans. According to KUTV, the transformation includes adding over 1,100 new lower-bowl seats, upping the total Mammoth game capacity to 12,478. The Delta Center will preserve its seating capacity for Utah Jazz games, ensuring a consistent fan experience across sporting events.

Some of the major upgrades realized in this phase are a first-of-its-kind riser seating system and an expansion at both ends of the bowl, which entailed raising the floor by two feet for a new ice slab creation. This reconstruction also required the third-level wall removal to make space for accommodating both hockey and basketball games within the same realm. "The new riser system to install an incredibly steep seating configuration, will make the Delta Center one of the most intimate arenas in the NHL," as reported by KSL Sports.

But it's not just about the view. Foodies have a reason to rejoice, too, as the Delta Center is rolling out more than 40 new food options. From Banbury Cross Donuts at Salt City Honey House to the Jazz Jam Burger by Proper Burger, attendees are in for a host of new, tasty offerings, detailed by ABC4. Plus, SEG has kept the mountain menu prices static, signaling a thoughtful nod to budget-conscious fans.

The retail scene gets a hat tip as well, with SEG's partnership with Fanatics bringing a variety of new merchandise options to fans. "The partnership will provide fans with access to brands such as Fanatics, Nike, New Era, Mitchell & Ness, ’47, and WinCraft," as per ABC4 this move pairs with the American Express deal, which grants cardholders a 10% discount on direct purchases at the Team Store, fans also looking forward to the completion of a new 450-stall parking structure, targeted for the 2026-27 season, addressing one of the logistical concerns of attending high-capacity events.
