The city's very own Office of Culture, Arts & Entrepreneurship, lovingly dubbed Detroit ACE, is jazzing up the joint with a Broadway vibe. They're partnering with Broadway in Detroit to roll out the red carpet—well, more like a time-traveling welcome mat—for "Back to the Future: The Musical." For three nights, a blast from the past comes with a sweet deal, exclusively for Detroiters.
Flying in from its 2022 Olivier Award triumph for Best New Musical, "Back to the Future: The Musical" is poised to shake up the stage. While the show may have taken a page from the iconic '80s film, its creative pulse beats to original compositions by Grammy® maestros Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, with chestnuts like "The Power of Love" fanning the nostalgic flames. Opening night ticks even more boxes for family fun, promising pre-show activities that, as reported by the City of Detroit, include an hour with the ACE team and kid-centric entertainment.
The discount dangles a carrot of $55 tickets for Main Floor & Mezzanine seating, allowing fans to zoom back to 1955 without breaking the bank. This deal is in play for the performances on October 28, 29, and 30 when using the code CITY. For those who'd rather save a few bucks, other seating options are on the table for $45 and a cool $25 for the Balcony. According to the City of Detroit, time travelers can even snap a photo with the "Back to the Future" DeLorean when the clock strikes Tuesday or Wednesday on Madison Avenue.
