A deputy from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) encountered a red sedan executing a series of hazardous maneuvers on Interstate 25, with behaviors including excessive speeding and unpredictable driving. The incident concluded with both a perimeter establishment and an arrest, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The DCSO used a social media post to detail the sequence of events after the vehicle was blasted by the deputy and exhibited signs of road rage. The officer attempted a traffic stop, whereupon the driver abruptly braked, risking a collision before pulling over, then attempting escape on foot. Thereupon, a quick perimeter was established, and a collaborative effort ensued.
In the effort to apprehend the suspect, a drone was deployed, leading to the discovery of the individual concealed under a cloth in the side yard of a residence; upon being found, the suspect appeared intoxicated and was taken into custody with various charges laid against them, including Driving Under the Influence (M) and Obstructing a Peace Officer (M2).
