
A Mount Pleasant Township home was pierced by a van in a surprising crash last night. According to WPXI, the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call around 7:19 p.m. at the 2400 block of School Street, where they found a van embedded in the structure of a house. Photos shared on social media revealed the extent of the impact, with bricks and cinder blocks strewn about the crash site. The driver, miraculously, walked away without injury.
The first responders were quick to act and were able to stabilize and then carefully remove the van from the house. Work on securing the damaged domicile ensued immediately after. The urgency of the matter could not be more clearly underscored, as ensuring the safety of the structure was paramount. The whole ordeal was wrapped up in approximately two and a half hours, as reported by WTAE.
As of now, the circumstances that led the van's driver to lose control remain unclear, with no word on the cause of the crash.
