After more than 30 years in operation, Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach has permanently closed. According to Action News Jax, the park featured various attractions and regularly hosted community events, birthday parties, and family gatherings.

In a statement marking the park’s closure, owner Hank Woodburn reflected on its history since opening in 1995. "For 30 amazing years, it has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve the Jacksonville community," Woodburn told Jacksonville.com. The property was sold in February 2021 to a developer with plans to build a luxury apartment complex, prompting the park’s eventual shutdown. Although the original closure date was set for October 31, 2021, the lease was extended multiple times, with operations officially ending yesterday.

Adventure Landing’s management used the closure announcement to thank the park’s guests and employees. "We’ve been honored to be part of countless birthday parties, family traditions, and year-round memories," said Woodburn in a statement to News4Jax. To mark the park’s history and community involvement, they launched initiatives including a digital memory book and a social media campaign using the hashtags #AdventureLandingMemories and #30YearsOfFun.

Guests with tokens, gift certificates, or redemption arcade tickets from the Jacksonville Beach location can redeem them at the St. Augustine Adventure Landing, which remains open. The St. Augustine park, located at 2780 FL-16, St. Augustine, FL 32092, continues to offer many of the same attractions featured at the Jacksonville Beach location.
