Local residents of District 11 will have a chance to directly influence the County's fiscal roadmap during the upcoming budget town hall scheduled for tomorrow evening. County Supervisor Kathleen Vincent has extended an invitation to constituents to delve into the County Executive's 2026 Recommended Budget. Set within the confines of the Greenfield Public Library from 6:00-8:00 p.m., according to the Milwaukee County.
"Please join me at these town halls. Whether it’s Scout Lake (I’m already hearing many of you advocating for parking lot and pathway repairs to make it safe and accessible) or any other neighborhood priority, your input helps shape the county decisions that directly affect our communities," Vincent was quoted saying in a media advisory. For those in need of special accommodations, requests can, be addressed to the Milwaukee County Office for Persons with Disabilities, as stated by the Milwaukee County.
Apart from the town hall, residents are encouraged to make their presence and opinions known during the Annual Public Hearing on the 2026 Recommended Budget, penciled in for October 27, at the Mitchell Park Domes. Attendees can enjoy free public access to the Domes from 5 - 6 p.m., shortly before the hearing commences. An additional avenue for public participation is set for October 15, where the Committee on Finance will open doors to a 4 pm Public Hearing. This session, to be held at the Milwaukee County Courthouse in Room 203-R, will also entertain virtual contributions through Microsoft Teams, underscoring the hybrid nature of the meeting, as reported by the Milwaukee County.
More detailed information regarding the participation process, the venue, and who will be present at the District 11 Budget Town Hall can be found at the Milwaukee County website. The event is slated for October 8, bringing together Supervisor Kathleen Vincent, along with pertinent Milwaukee County staff, in a bid to craft a budget that resonates with, the aspirations and concerns of the community it is meant to serve.
