In a recent display of community solidarity and engagement, the Euless Police Department, along with the Fire Department, rolled up their sleeves in a collaborative effort named the CPR Blitz — Community Powered Revitalization program. Teaming up with local non-profit 6 Stones, these public servants turned their attention to home improvement projects within their jurisdiction, stepping beyond their conventional call of duty.
The weekend project saw officers and firefighters constructing nearly 300 feet of fencing for a resident, marking the undertaking as their most ambitious project so far, establishing new bonds within the neighborhood in which they serve and protect, without neglecting the importance of forging community-centric initiatives that do more than just enforce laws and respond to emergencies, they build engagement and trust among those they serve.
A social media post from the Euless Police Department captured the essence of the activities with photos and a message of neighborly love, "It’s all about neighbors helping neighbors — one project at a time," shedding light on the fact that community work is indeed an integral part of the department's mission.
