An e-bike rider from Evanston, Wyoming, has succumbed to injuries sustained in a collision earlier this month in Mesquite, Nevada State Police reported; the rider, identified as James Lindsey Jackson, 67, was critically injured in the incident occurring at the intersection of Oasis Boulevard and Ivy Lee Crest.
On the morning of October 4, a Ford Fusion and Jackson were both navigating a roundabout when the tragic mishap unfolded. Jackson, on his e-bike, veered into the Ford's lane and made contact with the vehicle, as police later deduced, an action which led to his grievous ejection from the e-bike, per details released by 8 News Now.
The subsequent days bore witness to a struggle for life within the confines of a hospital where Jackson was conveyed post-crash, bearing the weight of critical injuries; he was pronounced deceased not long thereafter, according to information gleaned from a piece by FOX5 Vegas.
This incident brings the 2025 total for the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Southern Command Region One to 48 fatal crashes, resulting in 49 deaths. Authorities have not yet released information regarding the condition of the Ford driver involved in the collision.
